You
You work to create social change and impact through people power. You are a leader in your organisation or movement, either by influence or position, or both. You are passionate about being the best possible leader, campaigner and social change agent.
You want to thrive, not just survive, in your role. You want to access an external perspective, and a sounding board, so your work has more impact. You want to create the infrastructure and frameworks for systemic advocacy, and to draw on accumulated wisdom on campaigning (which you know exists out there, but is not easy to find). I can help.

Your Organisation
Your organisation is a non-profit with a social change mission. You understand that policy advocacy is a key way to have impact. You know that power (building it, using it, challenging it) is at the heart of social and systemic change.
You want to build a visible and influential constituency for your cause. You want to amplify the voices of people directly affected by the issues on which you advocate. The organisation prides itself on always improving what it does.
Whether you are just beginning in advocacy, or exploring how to more effectively engage the community in your campaigning, I can help.
Me
I am passionate about building people power to secure public policies that benefit the community. I want governments and institutions to make decisions that enable everyone to have a decent life. My particular focus has been on people needing care and support due to their disability or life circumstances.
During my career, I've explored many ways to make a difference - through direct service, policy development, consumer protection bodies, and Parliamentary Committees, and non-government policy advocacy.
I've seen, first hand, the transformational impact of community organising. At Cancer Council NSW, I led the development of the grassroots advocacy approach that led to significant campaign wins on smoke-free legislation, cost of chemotherapy, access to treatment and policies to protect people from known cancer risks.
Now my focus is on increasing the impact of the advocacy work of NGO's by helping them unlock the potential of their grassroots supporters.
